His writing brings to life the culture, food and people of the towns he visits when he 'housesits' his way through Europe. It's also the bonds he creates with the animals that are left in his care that explains why the author is considered a superstar in the Trusted House Sitters community. I wasn't sure of the significance of the title until I read his references and spiritual book recommendations at the end of the book. However, they look great and I plan to read these also. Taking the Jump into the unknown worlds and homes of strangers in strange countries is a courageous thing to do and author Navyo Ericsen entices us to follow his footsteps with tasty morsels left on his path.The villages and vistas come to life with wit and humility. My curiosity is piqued and I want to go to these places-some for a return visit to view and taste them anew, and others to discover them myself. I look forward to a photo essay and future episodes!
A dashing taste of Italy and France through the eyes, art and soul of a courageous adventurer. I could have sailed through it in one night but I chose to spread it out over several days so I could savor the images and feelings it evoked. Such a warm, sweet and savory delight for the senses. Thanks for the divine feast of travel and eye opening experiences into the good-hearted world of couchsurfing and housesitting- I had no idea it could be so enticing!
